Didnt know what to expect, seems like Typhoon Soulik was a bit too far and swell was highly unlikely.
It was a good altogether, lots of familiar faces, good vibes and stoked faces.
But did not expect a huge crowd, i bet most of them pulled the “call-in sick” card.

Starting out as an unseasonable low pressure system, we were quite unsure what to expect until typhoon signal 1 (T1) was hoisted, and it was on, we just had to decide where to go! We ended up going over to Pui O after a disappointing half hour at Cheung Sha. The Pui O bay seemed to be crowded with SUP’s and surfers. I had forgotten how popular surfing was becoming in Hong Kong. Lucky it was boardshorts weather at least. Ended up getting some fun rides in the bay and then headed over to the Pui O point to try our luck on the reef!
we werent quite sure where to go, theres just no way this break would work on a SE wind, but we did score anyways..
As Typhoon Helen passed by HK, she has blessed us with quality swell that will keep our sanity for the next , ummm 2 weeks?
